PMI Announces Project Management Research Online Community

PMI recently announced the opening of the PMI Project Management Research Online Community, which allows people to explore and comment on PMI's research events, as well as network with other researchers.

According to the PMI invitation letter, "This is the only PMI online community that allows non-members to join because of their interest in project and program management research."

If you wish to participate, send an e-mail to Eva Goldman at eva.goldman@pmi.org . Eva will send you an e-mail with instructions. If requested, she'll provide an ID and password (PMI members would simply use their PMI ID and password).

Dear Jerry and all,

I wish to give an apology to all the PMI communities that invite non-members, and to all the people on my e-mail list. Yesterday I found out that most of the other PMI communities (with the exception of the PMI Member community) do, in fact, invite non-members (the REP community, for example, invites vendors).

The PMI Research Online Community invites people who have a stake in project management research -- such as executives, consultants, and senior level project managers, as well as researchers, academics and research-and-development people.

Thank you,
Eva Goldman
PMI Research Coordinator

Thanks for the update, Eva. Still, I think it's great that the PMI Research Community is open to all who wish to conduct research.

I'm sure it'll be of great interest and value to PMThink readers.
