Project Management Presentations; The Perils of Powerpoint

Anyone who's attended one of Edward Tufte's seminars has heard about Peter Norvig's biting satire of Powerpoint (Tufte loves to cite this example). As Tufte points out, Powerpoint is all too often used as a crutch for presentations (instead of being used more effectively as a prop).

Norvig makes the case by showing what it would have been like if Abraham Lincoln had used Powerpoint for the Gettysburg Address.

Here's the presentation...

The Gettysburg Powerpoint Presentation

And here's the real text of the Gettysburg Address.

And for some interesting background, here's Norvig's writeup on the making of the presentation.
