Carshare Project: Coming to a City Near You

City of Philadelphia participates in the Philly CarShare Project. This project has resulted in elimination of vehicles at a 20-to-1 ratio (20 cars reduced for every one shared). The carshare project serves up 34 vehicles at approximately 24 city locations. Efficiency and environmental benefits are aligned and have been achieved.

The carsharing concept is going mainstream and is growing in availability through business models, such as Flexcar.
