Event Map: Mind Map Technique

... "Many business people are primarily concerned with events that change the status quo. This could be launching a product or service, commissioning a process, solving a problem, delivering a physical event (such as a seminar), or establishing a new behaviour. " ...

I use mindmaps when I'm planning projects, they are great for that. Then I go on to organise computer files relating to the project on the same mindmap - drag and drop. Is this odd or is it common?

I also swear by mindmaps (Mind Manager, not true Tony Buzan style mindmaps) for helping me with project planning and WBS. From the other users I know, they also find it invaluable for the same reason.
