Project Early Warning System

If we can detect project problems early, we can resolve them. What's your best indicator? Scope quality, SPI / CPI, QA results? ...

Using a PM system that sends alerts when task deadlines are missed makes it easier to prevent the bigger misses. You can get early warnings like that via email in Project Insight, for instance.
