Building a Stronger Foundation

I've written a DRAFT essay and I hope PMThink readers will be kind enough to provide critical feedback. The essay is called "Building a Stronger Foundation" and it's about Management by Project (MBP). Specifically, the essay describes why the classic definition of MBP has a few flaws, in my opinion, and how we might correct the flaws with a better definition. If you have any comments or suggestions, you may reply here (comments section) or click the Contact Us page at Project Frontier.
Thank you!

I just updated the draft essay with a revised definition of Management by Project (MBP). I spent part of today reading about Management by Objectives (MBO), and I concluded that there is way too much baggage with the term "objectives." Many companies uses an MBO approach to set quotas and targets that ultimately cultivate internal competition, not cooperation and collaboration. {Castellano2004a} The direction we're headed with MBP is very different from MBO. So the revised definition of MBP now begins with "fulfilling a shared purpose" instead of "achieving objectives."

...still looking for feedback. /Garry
