The Largest US Private Project EVER: What PM Software Are They Using?

MGM Mirage is heading up what is believed to be the largest private project in US history, the $8 Billion CityCenter. After investigating several project management systems, they chose a little-known and fairly recent player in the market----Skire, an online project and portfolio magement and integrated workforce management system.

And so far, it's going quite well.

I've been saying for a while that a hosted system that is easy to use and can accomodate integrated resource management is going to be a dangerous player in this market---provided it's affordable. Skire is mostly known in construction circles, but they claim to play to the IT market as well. Perusing their website, the product/service certainly looks IT-friendly.

I have an idea we'll be hearing more from this company. Meanwhile, here's the article in Computerworld about the MGM project.
