Visibility into the business case financials and support for the current business strategy are key inputs to enable the discussion. Portfolio reviews are indeed essential to ensure your projects continued relevance to the current business strategy. Preparing for them can be really painful if you don’t make use of a grown up PPM system that maintains a current single source of truth that spans the entire project portfolio.

Without this level of clarity, it can take days of pain to merge and weed out often conflicting data from disparate spreadsheets.
